2nd Annual LEC Chili SMACKDOWN

Join us for a fun, friendly, and flavorful evening as we bring together labor members, local Democrats, retirees, and elected officials... not for speeches, but for connection.

This event is about community, conversation, and Chili!  Come hear stories from working people, share your own, and strengthen the bond between Democrats and Labor in Kent County.

How can you participate?

Cook: Bring one pot or crockpot (~1 gal) of your best chili and compete for the title of 2026 Chili Smackdown Champion!  Winner receives a custom Carhartt apron and bragging rights.

Judge:  Taste and vote for your favorites!  Admission is just $5 at the door (addtional donations are always welcome).  All proceeds support Kent County Dems for the vital 2026 elections

Bring your friends, family, and your appetite!  We'll serve up warmth, good food, and stronger connections across our community.
