Good Trouble Comes to Caro: John Lewis National Day of Action

The Tuscola County Democratic Party will join Americans across the nation to honor the legacy of the late Congressman John Lewis who was badly beaten by the police as he led the Selma to Montgomery marches across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in 1965. Lewis said, “Speak up, speak out, get in the way. Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.”
On the fifth anniversary of Lewis' death, we demand an end to Trump’s attacks on our freedom to vote, protest, and organize — and to stand up against ICE’s efforts to terrorize our friends and neighbors.
