NO Kings! People's Protest

Join the BCDP and Tuesday Protesters for 50501: The National Day of Protest

đź“… Saturday, April 19th
đź•› Noon to 2:00 PM
📍 Corner of Main Street and Park Street

Let’s come together to tell our representatives and the government that we will not be silenced.

Wear RED, WHITE, or BLUE as a symbol of respect for our Constitution. We will be a sea of red, white, and blue—because upholding the Constitution and the system of checks and balances is patriotic. Protest is patriotic.

🎉 Bring: Signs, flags, cowbells, drums, instruments, and a loud voice for chants!
🎶 Feel free to sing, start a chant, or play music—this is a movement by the people!
🧥 Dress for the weather.

Why April 19th?
April 19th marks the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolutionary War. In 1775, Americans fought for a government free from the monarchical control of Britain. Paul Revere’s midnight ride began on April 18th and ended with the Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19th—a victory for the American militia and a rallying point for independence.

Now, 250 years later, our democracy is once again at risk. We are sliding into a system that works for the few—the billionaires—rather than all of us. We must take a stand and stop the grift.

No President—or billionaire like Elon Musk—should financially benefit from their government connections. This is wrong. We need to uphold our system of checks and balances, allowing Congress to exercise oversight and honoring the courts’ rulings. Without this, our founding documents—and our democracy—are at risk.

Safety Guidelines
âś… We are allowed to gather on public/town land.
đźš« Do not go into the road or the center of the rotary.
🚸 Be mindful not to block drivers’ visibility.
📍 Know where the “EXIT” sign is for your area.

Police are here to protect our right to protest—but they can shut us down if safety becomes an issue. It’s everyone’s responsibility to help maintain safety. Please remind others to stay clear of the road.

If Counter-Protesters Appear:
DO NOT ENGAGE.
If anyone engages, the police may shut us down. We don’t want that to happen.

⚠️ Notify a Safety Warden (wearing a neon vest) of any disturbances immediately.
🚶 Step away.
🎥 You may record, if necessary, for documentation—but continue ignoring agitators.
đź’Ş Your calm, responsible response is your strength.

We expect a peaceful and safe event, showing our care, community, and courage.

BCDP, Tuesday Protesters, and 50501 are uniting—shoulder to shoulder—to exercise our right to free speech.

50501 is calling for protests in all 50 states against the Trump administration. According to their social media posts, the goal is for 3.5% of the U.S. population—more than 11 million people—to participate. This figure represents the threshold for sustained resistance capable of making real change.

Let’s raise our voices.
Let’s stand together.
Let’s protect our democracy.
