Start Local: A Precinct Delegate Info Night
Want to make a real difference in your community, but aren’t sure where to start? Join us at the OCDP offices for an evening focused on why precinct delegates matter, volunteer needs, and how relational organizing will shape the year ahead.
This information night will feature Sherlynn James from MDP Project 83, sharing how precinct delegates are the foundation of winning local elections; experienced local organizers and precinct delegates talking about what works and what they wish they’d known starting out; and leadership from Ottawa Dems outlining how volunteers and precinct delegates fit into our broader strategy for the coming year. We’ll break down what a precinct delegate is, how and when to file to become a precinct delegate, ways to get involved as a volunteer at every level of time and experience, and why talking with people you already know is a top priority this year.
Whether you’re brand new, precinct-curious, or ready to deepen your involvement, this is a low-pressure opportunity to ask questions, meet other Democrats, and learn how you can help build power right where you live.
Now is the time to step up. File for precinct delegate. Build relationships. Help shape the future of Ottawa County. Event doors open at 6pm, hybrid presentation will start by 6:30pm. We will have a notary in house for your filing needs!
